Translating Western Basin Success to Other Low Permeability Gas Plays and Basins

The natural fracture detection R&D sponsored by DOE/FETC has been tested in several Rocky Mountain basins and gas plays, including: - Mesaverde (Williams Fork) tight, lenticular sandstones at Rulison Field, Piceance Basin, Colorado - Frontier tight sandstones, Table Rock Field, Greater Green River Basin, Wyoming - Fort Union sandstones, Madden Field, Wind River Basin, Wyoming Still, numerous other naturally fractured, low permeability natural gas formations and basins exist, particularly in the Mid-Continent and Texas: - Anadarko/Arkoma - East Texas/ North Louisiana - Texas Gulf Coast/Austin Chalk - Permian/Val Verde
