TWO DIMENDIONAL LABORATORY SIMULATION OF AN UNDERGROUND COAL GASIFICATION FIELD TEST

License(s):

Other (Open)

The Laramie Energy Research Center has recently conducted a series of two dimensional laboratory simulations of underground coal gasification in a sealed steel box. The coal bed measured 8 inches deep with an areal extent of 20 square feet. To minimize edge effects 21 inch well spacing was used. The major purpose of these tests was to investigate the physical factors affecting the shape and size of UCG patterns.
