The purpose of this proposal is to conduct an engineering and economic analysis of Vertical Modified In Situ and Horizontal Modified In Situ on the Uintah-Ouray oil shale properties. The objective of this evaluation would be to identify and cost a program which has a potential for successful commercial utilization and to further identify and provide key sensitivities for the costs associated with developing this operation. The study will be accomplished using systems analysis methodology, and incorporating all available geological inputs, mine designs, process analyses, and off site requirement assessments.
