This report is a brief summary of the work carried out since Oct.1981 in the project entitled "Volumetric Heating of Oil Shales by Electromagnetic Methods : A Program of Theoretical and Experimental Studies". This work has been supported in part by a grant from the Laramie Projects Office (Morgantown Energy Technology Center, of the Dept. of Energy). Four graduate students and three postdoctoral fellows in addition to the principle investigator contributed to this project at several stages.
